Microsoft, meet Macintosh

Jobs demoed the Mac to a team from a small software group called Microsoft of which included Bill Gates. At that stage, Microsoft was developing system housekeeping software - a pretty boring project. Jobs offered Microsoft a chance to develop and application for the Mac which they swiped up quickly. the Mac needed some killer software, and Microsoft wanted a chance to do something really cool.
